Chernobyl Disaster 25th Anniversary
Monday 26th April 2011 marks 25 years since reactor No.4 at the Chernobyl nuclear power station exploded creating the worlds worst ever nuclear disaster.
John Miller & His Country Casuals
Yet another successful fundraising concert supported by the UK's finest Country Music band, John Miller and His Country Casuals performing the highly acclaimed 'Honky Tonk Merry Go Round 2010' in aid of the Chernobyl Orphan Group at the Radcliffe Club on the 13th November 2010. Live Music in Amble...
Friday 30th April 2010
North East singing sensation and entertainer Shirley Mac kicked off the night's entertainment with a range of hits from Dusty Springfield through to Kylie Minogue.
Top male vocalist Scott Webster performed songs from his huge repertoire which included hits from Van Morrison, Robbie Williams, Take That, Westlife, Ronan Keating, Lionel Richie, UB40, Brian Adams, the Rat Pack, the Motown era, the Kooks and many more.
This entertainment packed evening also included raffles and auctions.
Despite lower than expected turn out, the evening raised almost £440.
All proceeds went to the COG (Chernobyl Orphan Group) Amble charity.
The venue was Radcliffe Workingmens Club, Charles Road, Amble. NE64 0RA
